"Movies" is an optional cross curricular CLIL project aimed at students 15-16 years old. It was inspired by the work of Rosa Maria Andrés Blanch (IES Vilatzara) Forgotten film: From Beginnings to “Talkies”. The project addresses two sections: the study of the beginnings of cinema and cinematographic technique.
I always try to find that students achieve meaningful learning. To achieve this, the explanations are based on previous knowledge, motivating students to extract ideas for themselves from texts, images and the different resources that I provide them. These ideas are later clarified and completed with the explanations that are made in the classroom, always based on what they have already contributed. In this way, it is intended that the students themselves, with the help of the teacher, make connections between what they already know and the new information.
