Creation as a state of mind
Students went to Barcelona to visit the exhibition about Jaume Plensa in MACBA. Teacher asked them to make a video that summarized what the exhibition had represented for them.
The present
This lesson plan is designed around a moving short film by Jacob Frey titled The Present. Students practice adjectives related to character and teenagers, watch the short film, write a summary and discuss the film.
In the last activity, students work in groups of three. The teacher gives to each group a situation about the film. They have to prepare a dialogue and act it out. They record their dialogues and edit them.
Silent cinema
We call silent film all those films made between the birth of cinema and 1927 They are films with no synchronized recorded sound with the recorded image.
Students have met personalities such as Lillian Gish, Harold Lloyd, Bustor Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau, Fritz Lang, Richard Barthelmess, David Wark Griffith, Sergei M. Eisenstein, Luis Buñuel.
The final product in this lesson has been an oral presentation.
